ChemE Cube Competition

In November of 2024, our team competed nationally in San Diego, CA. We presented the BloomBox, a cube designed to maximize the capture of carbon dioxide. The goal of this competition was direct air capture. Our two sub-teams worked tirelessly for months developing the business/marketing plan, and designing the technical aspects of the cube. The dedication to the BloomBox resulted in a first place win at the national competition, as well as being recognized for: the cheapest cube, cheapest cost to capture, most carbon captured, the lightest cube, and the second closest wager.
